Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Stontek collects from trade partners, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it plain and direct — same as everything else we do.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to set up your trade account, quote your projects, and supply your orders.
Information you give us
When you request wholesale pricing or contact us, we may collect your name, company name, work email, phone number, professional role (general contractor, builder, fabricator, kitchen & bath dealer, architect/designer), and the product categories you order. If you reach us by email, text, or phone, we receive whatever information you choose to share about your business and projects.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our site may automatically record limited technical data such as your approximate location (from your IP address), browser and device type, the pages you visit, and the date and time of your visit. This helps keep the site working and lets us understand general traffic patterns.
2. How we use your information
- To verify your trade profile and open or manage your wholesale account.
- To prepare quotes, confirm inventory and lead times, and process your orders.
- To contact you about your inquiries, quotes, and existing orders.
- To send samples you request and coordinate deliveries.
- To improve our website, pricing, and customer service.
- To comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal or business information.
3. Business communications
When you submit our form, you agree that Stontek may contact you by phone, email, or text about your inquiry, your trade account, and your orders. Because Stontek serves trade partners, most of our communication is about active quotes and orders rather than consumer marketing.
You can opt out of non-essential or promotional messages at any time by telling us at sales@stontek.com or +1 (248) 772-9482. Opting out won't affect messages we need to send about an order or account you already have with us.
4. When we share information
We share your information only in limited situations:
- Service providers who help us operate — for example, our form-handling provider, email, inventory platform, and logistics partners — and who may only use the information to perform services for us.
- Suppliers and carriers as needed to source materials and fulfill and deliver your orders.
- Legal requirements — if required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of others.
- Business transfers — if our business is sold or merged, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We never sell or rent your information to third parties for their own marketing.
5. Form & inventory providers
Our wholesale inquiry form is processed by a third-party form service that delivers your submission to our trade team by email. Our live inventory is hosted on a third-party platform at stontek.slabware.com. These providers process data under their own privacy terms. When you browse the inventory platform or submit the form, the information you provide is handled by those services in addition to Stontek.
6. Cookies & analytics
Our site may use cookies or similar technologies to remember your preferences and to measure how the site is used. You can control or disable cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work as well if you do. If we use an analytics service, it helps us understand aggregate, non-identifying traffic patterns.
7. How long we keep your information
We keep your information for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, service your account, fulfill orders, and meet our legal, accounting, and warranty obligations. When it's no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
8. How we protect your information
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information you share with us. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security — but we take protecting your business information seriously.
9. Your choices & rights
You may:
- Ask us what information we hold about you or your company.
- Ask us to correct or update it.
- Ask us to delete it, where we're not required to keep it.
- Opt out of non-essential or promotional communications at any time.
To make any of these requests, contact us using the details below. We'll respond as required by applicable law.
10. Children's privacy
Stontek is a business-to-business supplier. Our website and services are intended for trade professionals, not children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Effective" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be reflected here, so please check back occasionally.
